Aidan Rodeschin

Aidan Rodeschin is a drummer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Alexandria, VA. He studied percussion and earned a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He has performed, arranged, and musically directed for a wide variety of jazz, pop, and rock groups. His drumming exhibits fluency in many styles including funk and jazz fusion, R&B and gospel, and even Cuban timba and salsa. He is an avid performer, producer, and teacher who enjoys cooking, reading, and playing sports in his free time.

Brian Forehand 

Brian Forehand is a saxophonist, composer, and producer from Washington, DC, currently completing a Bachelors of Fine Arts at Bowie State University. Steeped in the tradition of jazz, gospel, and R&B, he brings the traditional elements of Black music into any genre that he plays and produces music for. He has performed with greats such as Melba Moore and Chuck Brown and has had the opportunity to grace the stage at venues ranging from Blues Alley and Arena Stage in DC to the Strathmore Arts Center. Brian has music available for streaming on Apple Music and will continue to perform in the DMV area after graduating from Bowie State in the summer of 2024.

Nick Serbu

Nick Serbu is a trumpet player active in the Northern Virginia/DC/Maryland area. He studied music performance at Shenandoah University and the University of North Texas. Shortly after his studies, Nick went on to play with Princess Cruiselines as a house band musician, playing around the globe with different music acts and entertainers. While in the DMV area he performs as a member of the Jazzworx Big Band, as well as a frequent member of the SwingShift Jazz Orchestra and various wedding band/top 40's entertainment groups. Nick also maintains a busy piano & trumpet private studio, where he enjoys teaching the next generation of young musicians.​ Over the years, he has played with such funk and r&b legends as Blood Sweat & Tears, Atlantic Starr. The Main Ingredient, Ronnie Laws, Ceelo Green, Chante Moore, Micki Howard, The Temptations, The Delfonics, Stevie Wonder, Michael McDonald, Jennifer Hudson, Kevin Whalum, and many others. ​ Upon moving to Maryland, Chris has had the pleasure of playing with the Earth Wind & Fire tribute group "In Gratitude" and as host keyboardist at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Jam Night with the Grainger Brothers. Chris also plays in Spyro Gyra bassist’s own group, the Scott Ambush Quartet, as well as in a Prince tribute show featuring members of Prince’s own original New Power Generation. When not assimilating the styles and music of the stars, Chris plays Gospel at First Baptist Church of Sterling, VA and with his own event group "Skin Tight" and the latin jazz quintet "Sunflare." He also was a music and chart arranger for American Idol, Singing Bee, the 2013 Emmy Awards, and BET’s Celebration of Gospel. ​ Chris has two CD's released entitiled "Live Funk Nouveau" by the band of the same name under his leadership and a groundbreaking modern jazz record with Chilean saxophonist Anibal Rojas entitled "Root Kinetic."

Vanessa Estaniel

Vanessa Estaniel, born and raised in Iloilo City, Philippines is a trained vocalist of many genres and a well rounded musician. She first began classical piano training at the age of 3, and began voice lessons at the age of 5. With her father being her first coach, manager and inspiration, she was exposed to performing onstage at the very early age of 7; the stage became her second home. Vanessa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Shenandoah Conservatory, earning a Bachelor’s of Music in Performance (Voice). Immediately after graduating, she had the wonderful opportunity of being a Queen’s Room Vocalist onboard Cunard Cruises. Aside from singing Mozart’s and Donizetti’s melismas and belting out to Amy Winehouse’s hits, stage directing is a career path that she is determined to pursue in the future. Vanessa has written, directed and performed in three of her own original productions: Fiesta de baile (2023), Jazz All Night (2022) and Ach Ich COVID: Opera Reimagined (2021), at Shenandoah Conservatory’s I ShenCoLAB Festival. She has served as an Assistant Director and Stage Manager in Shenandoah Opera’s productions directed by Ella Marchment, as well as Choreographed a student- lead production of Gilbertlmk and Sullivan scenes (2021).b Other professional credits include: Jammin Java, The n ,,rdzPocket @ Drum City, and Mr. Henry’s DC- Headlining Artist. National Cherry Blossom Festival- Headlining Artist. The Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera and Music Education Intern. Mo Willems’ and Renée Fleming’s Children’s Opera Workshops– Stage Manager, Production Assistant. IN Series Opera, Othello/ Desdemona, Orpheus, Verdi’s Requiem– Assistant Stage Manager. Trial on the Potomac, Off-Broadway– Stage Crew, Production Intern.

Tyree Austin

Born & Raised in Gary, IN, Tyree Austin is an aspiring vocalist with versatility and knowledge in R&B, Gospel, Jazz, & Blues. He is a recent Howard University Graduate of the Chadwick A Boseman College of Fine Arts , receiving his Bachelors in Music Business & Jazz Voice. While at Howard, Tyree’s collegiate trajectory includes being a member of Afro Blue, Howard’s premiere vocal jazz ensemble, The Howard Gospel Choir, & Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America Inc. He has had the honor as both a solo and ensemble artist to share the stage with & sing background for Mariah Carey, Fantasia, Chaka Khan, Mavis Staples, Queen Latifah, Tia Fuller, Sheléa, & many more.

Paul Eldridge

Paul Eldridge is a Northern Virginia-based guitarist, singer, producer, theater, and film actor. Raised by two professional musicians, with a jazz pianist father playing 400 gigs a year, music has always been a way of life for the entire family. After studying guitar with the legendary DMV region guitarist Dan Leonard, Paul spent 10+ years with award-winning DC regional act House of Echo/Dave Tauler Music Group, playing shows ranging from NYC's Apollo Theater, Constitution Hall, and Warner Theater, to 10,000 person festivals. Along with versatile cross-genre guitar capabilities, Paul brings unstoppable stage presence to Polaris' live shows.

Stephanie Thomas-Mathis

Stephanie is a singer, songwriter, and keyboardist from Virginia. A professional musician since age 13, Stephanie honed her piano and vocal skills through consistent study and performance opportunities throughout the Washington, D.C. area and was a finalist, winner, or featured soloist at various regional and state competitions and events. In addition to her classical training, Stephanie is skilled in the jazz, pop, R&B, and gospel genres. While pursuing her undergraduate studies at The College of William and Mary, Stephanie continued to pursue music. She received training and mentorship from world-renowned instrumentalists, including Anna Kijanowska and Donald Harrison. Stephanie also composed several songs and received training in recording engineering. Through undergraduate and graduate-level study, Stephanie continued to grow her skills in multiple genres by playing for various churches, bands, and ensembles, affording her the opportunity to perform at the White House and South African Embassy and before numerous national and international dignitaries. Over the last decade, Stephanie released several independent recordings, one of which earned her the 2018 Wammie Award for Best Soul Song. Stephanie is also a graduate of the American University Washington College of Law and owns a law firm focusing on entertainment law, intellectual property law, small business law, and nonprofit law.

Sydney Allen

Sydney Allen is a young upcoming vocalist, who is focusing on her music career. Singing always was a hobby, but in high school is when it became a passion! Sydney attended Bishop McNamara High School with a choir scholarship as long as a varsity soccer scholarship all four years. She later attended and graduated from Hampton University with a Music Recording Technology degree in 2022 and also received professional vocal lessons. After college, she started performing live at MD Live Casino and recently joined the Polaris Band.
